I look up to the hills, but where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not let you be defeated. He who guards you never sleeps.
Dear Ones: Help comes from the Lord! Was the psalmist revelation as he was walking up the hills toward Jerusalem. He was singing the truth of his source of help as he continued his upward journey. We can put ourselves in the psalmist place in these challenging times. Sometimes it seems that we are constantly walking uphill and never reaching the top. But as Christians our help comes from the Lord. He is our secret weapon from which we draw our strength.
The Lord takes great pleasure in helping His children. He sets a watch in the night even as we sleep. He watches over us to give us favor and victory when we call out to Him for help. Hebrews 4:16 instructs us, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
May you receive help from the Lord today for all your needs. Lean on His everlasting arms; be strengthen in your inner man. Be confident that He watches over you continually even in the night hours. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
