He Gives Me Strength

Dear Ones: He Gives Me Strength! We do not have to fight the attacks of the enemy in our own strength. Paul told the Philippian believers that his strength came from the Master. He faced many challenging and dangerous situations in his life. But he persisted through them all because the Christ in him gave him strength and power to go on and overcome.

The enemy is always working to discourage and paralyze believers with fear. He points to our mere natural abilities to plant thoughts of inadequacy and failure. But remember, he is a liar. The Lord did not leave us to fend for ourselves. He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us and teach us how to become more Christ-like. In Christ we have the authority to tread on snakes and over all the power of the enemy. We are empowered to enforce His victory in every situation in our lives because He strengthens us.

This verse is a good verse to memorize and use against the dark one when he attacks. It is a declaration of who we are in Christ: Overcomers because of His strength. Like the natural branch draws strength from the vine, we are to draw on the resources of His life in faith. The more we do this the greater our image of Christ in us becomes.

Declaration: “My God is BIG and greater than all my enemies. He gives me strength to stand against all the wiles of the dark one that attack me, my family, and my nation. I can do all things because He lives in me. It is a good day to praise Him and thank Him for strengthening me. Praise the Lord!” Have an overcoming day in Jesus’ name.
