He took on our sins in His body when He died on the cross so that we, being dead to sin, can live for righteousness. As the Scripture says, “Through His wounds, you were healed.”
Dear Ones: He died on the Cross! Not for His sin(s) but He took our sins in His body. He paid the wages of sin for all humanity through His death. But there is more to the story. He left nothing undone for our complete release from the aftermath of Adam’s rebellion. Adam passed the consequences of sin down through his bloodline. But the Master broke that curse of sin when He paid our sin debt with His sinless blood.
Benefits He Died to Give Us
The benefits of the work of the Cross for those who believe are enormous. In Him we are more than conquerors being given the right to exercise His victory over sin, sickness, disease, and death. Our resurrected spirits came alive unto the Father again when we received Christ as our Lord and Savior. Spiritual death was defeated. Now, Christians do not have to fear dying for there is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun.
He abolished the hold of iniquity (immorality of the soul) on us. The tormentors voice that comes to take our peace was conquered, too. He gave us the keys to the Kingdom and expects us to grow up as free children of God using them to defeat the dark one at every turn. He died on the Cross to give us abundant life and victory over the enemy.
Declare: “He died on the Cross so that I can be free. I am determined to enforce His victory over the minions of darkness that have attacked me, my family, and my nation. I identify with His death by dying to the old ways of life and taking up the new life He offers to me. As a new creation in Christ, I declare that I am an overcomer. Praise the Lord!” Have a blessed and overcoming week in Jesus’ name.
