When I was in trouble, I called to the Lord, and he answered me.
Dear Ones: He Answered Me! When we are in trouble the first thing we should do is to run to the Lord and call on Him for help. However, the enemy comes to tell you help is not coming. You have to figure this situation out on your own. It’s the old isolation gambit. Then fear, doubt, and unbelief attack the mind to increase the feelings of abandonment.
We have freewill and can choose to cast off these thoughts that are contrary to the truth of the Word. Paul gives us the way to destroy the enemy’s attacks in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, NKJV. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.”
When we are in trouble, we are to call on the Lord and cast down any thoughts or arguments that are anti-word of God. By exercising our freewill and using the Word as a weapon, we can rest in the knowledge that He will answer us. This is good news. Because 1 John 5:15, NKJV tells us, “And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”
Make your statement of faith today, “He answered me when I called to Him in my past times of trouble. This situation is no different. He hears me when I call and releases His power to help me.” It is a good day to mute the voice of the tormentor by declaring the goodness of your God. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
