God Sent His Son

John 3:16-17 (NLT)

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:16-17, NLT

Dear Ones: God sent His Son! This is the time of year we celebrate the birth of our Lord. The Father sent Him on the ultimate rescue mission: the salvation of the human race. He did not come in majestic splendor but was born in a stable. The location of the stable was where the Temple sheep were raised. These were the lambs that would be sacrificed in the Temple to push back the consequences of sin for the nation of Israel.

The lambs had to be without spot or blemish. And so our King, our Savior came as one of them into this earth realm. He is the Lamb of God sent to take away the sin of the world. He was tempted and tried by all of the things we face in life. The enemy came to discourage Him with scorn and lies. He took the chastisement for our peace and the stripes so that we can walk in health and healing. These are the things to keep in our hearts during these dark times. Remember His words in Luke 12:32, “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

May you rejoice in that “God Sent His Son” to give you eternal life. Let the trouble and chaos fade away as you think on Him, today. It is a good day to remember that He was sent and now lives in you. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
