God is Awesome

God is awesome in his sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!
Psalm 68:35 (NLT)

Dear Ones: God is Awesome! The theme of this psalm is: The Glory of God in His Goodness to Israel. It was penned by David before Jesus went to the Cross and rose from the dead. Today, the term “His people” now includes all those who are in Christ. So, let us stop today and consider the awesomeness of our Father God. The 1828 Merriam Webster Dictionary on-line defines awe as reverential fear. This is not the fear that the dark one uses to terrorize, but a holy and deep reverence of our Father God.

We live on the redemptive side of the Cross and have a better covenant with the Father. This is confirmed by Hebrews 7:22, AMPC, “In keeping with [the oath’s greater strength and force], Jesus has become the Guarantee of a better (stronger) agreement [a more excellent and more advantageous covenant].” This greater agreement is certified by the Blood of Christ. The awesome plan of Father God left nothing undone. The Sinless Blood of Christ sealed this new covenant that was planned before time began.

Romans 8:31 tells us, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” The dark one tries to distract us with his thought bombs and other attacks to keep us from the truth of this verse. Power belongs to God. (See Psalm 62:11.) Remember, our Awesome God is fighting for us, so we do not engage the enemy in our own strength. Truly, our God is Awesome.

Meditate on the awesomeness of God, today. He cares for you and every challenge you are currently facing. His awesomeness never fades or loses its power. He is for you, your family, and your nation. He has written your name on His hand. Be confident in His awesomeness. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
