From the Days of Eternity

“But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity.”
Micah 5:2 (NASB1995)

Dear Ones: From the Days of Eternity! Yes, the birth of Christ was established in the Father’s plan of Redemption from the days of eternity. The place of His birth and His natural bloodline was established too.

This prophecy speaks of David’s bloodline whom God chose to be king over Israel in Saul’s place. The complexity of the Plan of Salvation is intricately wound through the different bloodlines of mankind: Adam, Noah, Judah, to David. The Father established the end from the beginning and His plan is still unfolding today.

He called you to Himself before you were born. His unique plan for your life unfolded from your generations past and will continue through your posterity of the future. So, do not think you and your family are insignificant. Bethlehem was appointed to be the birthplace of the King, yet it was a small village. David was the 8th son and considered insignificant among his brethren. BUT, God’s plan prevailed against all natural thinking and traditions.

Consider these things today as you go about your daily duties. Christmas is the season to remember the Lord’s birth yet we seldom think about the great plan of the Father that brought all of this about. May the words, “from the days of eternity,” remind you of the awesomeness of our Father and His love for mankind. Have a wonderful day in the Lord. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
