Now on Rumble: Faith Toward God
Paul is continuing to move our videos off of YouTube and onto Rumble.
In this lesson we pursue the study of Faith Toward God—one of the principles of the doctrine of Christ as listed in Hebrews 6:1-2. Through the prompting of the Holy Spirit, the believer’s faith toward God comes from admitting his need for salvation—that he cannot save himself. Saving faith is the sincere and heartfelt confidence in God’s plan of salvation and His ability to fulfill the promises made to everyone who believes. This faith must be actively functioning in the believer’s everyday life as he travels the path to the Kingdom’s higher ground.

Hebrews 11:6, NKJV
Faith in God is necessary in order to please Him. There is no relationship with Him that can be built on anything else. However, faith can only work through love: God loving us, and we returning His love by putting all of our trust and confidence in Him and His plan of salvation as we obey Him. We cannot develop an unshakeable faith in someone that we don’t know intimately. This is why the Holy Spirit, our Guide, was sent to teach us to know Christ and to live in Him so we can advance in our quest to be more like Him.
