Enjoy the Blessing

All you who fear God, how blessed you are! how happily you walk on his smooth straight road! You worked hard and deserve all you’ve got coming. Enjoy the blessing! Soak in the goodness!
Psalm 128:2 (MSG)

Dear Ones: Enjoy the Blessing! This is another verse from a psalm of ascent. As the pilgrims journeyed to Jerusalem to attend a feast, they sang songs. These songs joyfully verbalized their testimony of God’s faithfulness to them. They worked hard and followed the Lord’s law; hence He blessed all their labors.

As we enter Labor Day weekend, let us remember that all our true blessings come from the Lord. When we follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Psalm 25:10, TLB, becomes our reality. “And when we obey him, every path he guides us on is fragrant with his loving-kindness and his truth.” When He leads us, our paths take us to a place called blessing.

This is the place where we soak in the goodness of our God. There is a table prepared for us in this place as David revealed in Psalm 23:5, TLB. “You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies. You have welcomed me as your guest; blessings overflow!” The Lord loves to reward our hard work that is done in His service as His children. He is our good, good Father.

Enjoy the Blessing of the Lord as you rest from your daily labors. Believe that He is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him and to do His will. Soak in His goodness. Partake of His table. His table is filled with good things: healings, finances, family restoration, and many other spiritual treats. Enjoy being His child. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
