Encourage and Comfort

Therefore encourage and comfort one another and build up one another, just as you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (AMP)

Dear Ones: Encourage and Comfort! In this Christmas season it is especially important to encourage and comfort one another. Although many are excited about the time of celebration, others come under vicious attacks of the enemy to demoralize their spirit. Too many people are consumed with getting and giving gifts and they forget the reason for the celebration. However, when we focus on the miracle and the power of the Incarnation all the other stuff fades into insignificance.

These words are shared to encourage and comfort you to keep your focus on our victory in Christ. This is how we build each other up spiritually. The chaos and tumult in the world want to break you down. No crisis is wasted by the dark ones to beat on and beat down Christians and Christ’s victory in them. But there is power in Body ministry where the parts of the Body of Christ minister to one another in prayer, exhortation, and comforting words.

Let us not forget the power of the Incarnation, which resulted in the power of the Resurrection of Christ your Savior. As you sow the words of life into your souls, the fingers of darkness lose their grip on your life. It is a good day to think on these things. Be encouraged. Be comforted. He knows your name, your address, your family, and the attacks the enemy has used against you and yours. He is in the fire with you. So, believe you will emerge without even the smell of smoke on your garments. Victory in Him is assured.

May you be encouraged and comforted by these words today. Allow them to build you up and to embolden your heart to stand as He enfolds you in His garments and holds you close in this hour. Be comforted and blessed in Jesus’ name.
