6-7 “What’s the price of two or three pet canaries? Some loose change, right? But God never overlooks a single one. And he pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! So don’t be intimidated by all this bully talk. You’re worth more than a million canaries.
Dear Ones: Don’t be Intimidated! Sometimes it is good to look up familiar verses in different translations. However, there must be discernment to be sure that the translators are not taking liberty with the Word. These verses capture the essence of the Lord’s discourse with those gathered around Him. The God’s eye is on the sparrow attending to them. But He gives great attention to you and to the details of your life. The enemy comes to bully you with tormenting words. He is always trying to talk down the God’s goodness to you.
This is the tactic he used in the Garden with Adam and Eve. He accused the Lord God of lying to them. “You will not die,” was his accusation. “Eat the fruit, it will make you like God,” was the lie. How many times did he come to bully and accuse before Adam and Eve ate of the fruit? I don’t know, but they fell for his lies. The enemy comes with the same attack plan to demoralize and bully whoever will listen to his lies. But the Lord Jesus assures us that the Father watches over every detail of our lives. We are His treasures. We can determine the truth of this statement by considering the awesome cost paid for our salvation.
Don’t be intimidated by the tormentor’s voice that comes to diminish your worth or value to the Father. He is a doting Father. Our Father has numbered the hairs of your head and designed your unique fingerprints. The Son paid the ultimate cost for your salvation. You are precious in His sight. Have an overcoming day as you think on these things. Ask the Father in Jesus’ name for help and He will respond. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
