This is what our Scriptures come to teach: in everything, in every circumstance, do to others as you would have them do to you.
Dear Ones: Do to Others! These are the words of Christ, so it benefits us to listen, learn, and then apply them to our lives. There is a spiritual law of sowing and reaping as revealed in Galatians 6:7, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” Each of us sow words into our lives. They may be words of life and light or words that agree with the dark one and his evil ways. It is our choice to make.
In this current anti-Christian atmosphere, we hear many people mocking and disrespecting the Word of God. The truth revealed in this verse tells us that these types of people are sowing bad seeds into their lives. When their harvest comes in, they will reap what they sowed. What they intended to do to Christians will backfire on them. Job observed in Job 4:8, NLT. “My experience shows that those who plant trouble and cultivate evil will harvest the same.”
Consider the Lord’s words today and determine to do to others acts love, kindness and patience. Remember, Christlikeness is the end goal of your Christian walk. When you release His love and kindness to others, the very atmosphere changes. Your words are powerful, so use them wisely. Have a wonderful weekend. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
