All you saints! Sing your hearts out to God! Thank him to his face! He gets angry once in a while, but across a lifetime there is only love. The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter.
Dear Ones: Days of Laughter! That light at the end of the tunnel is not an approaching train but the dawning of a new day. Your nights of crying will turn into days filled with laughter because the Lord intervened in your situation. When this happens, you must remember to rejoice and thank Him to His face.
This song was sung by David at the dedication of his house. David had many dark hours filled with weeping. But he always turned to the Lord for help even in his most desperate times.
For example, when Ziklag was burned, and the families and property of his army were stolen David faced rebellion among his men. The seriousness of the situation is revealed in 1 Samuel 30:6. “Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.” David asked the Lord what to do. The Lord answered him this way in 1 Samuel 8b, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.” And they did recover all that was taken plus plenty of extra bounty. There was a great celebration filled with joy and laughter.
Rise up from your nightly weeping believing that the days ahead will be days of laughter. Prepare to celebrate by faith even before your deliverance fully manifests. It is a day to laugh at the pitiful attacks of the enemy. He certainly is no match for King Jesus. Who said that He would never leave you nor forsake the one who calls on His name. You are an overcomer and not a victim. Rejoice today! I bless you in Jesus’ name.
