Cultivate Thankfulness

Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. * * *
Colossians 3:15 (MSG)

Dear Ones: Cultivate Thankfulness! During this busy holiday season it is a good thing to practice thankfulness. When you go to the store be thankful that you are able to purchase what you need. Be thankful that the store shelves are stocked, too.

Before you go shopping, ask the Lord to direct your steps to where you can find what you need at the right price. Listen for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and you will rejoice at how He works things out. I invite the Holy Spirit to shop with me. He knows far more than I do in the natural sense. Invite the Lord to your Thanksgiving table to join your family and friends.

Cultivate thankfulness and see how wonderful family time can be. Sing as you cook your thanksgiving meal a song of thankfulness. Let every detail of your holiday preparation be done in the name of King Jesus. It is especially needful to be thankful in these dark times. Because thankfulness breaks the yokes of depression and despair. Have a thankful day and week. I bless you in Jesus’ name.

  1. When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three emails with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me from that service? Thank you!

    • I will check into it. But somethings are so buried in the programming it is hard to find. I appreciate your feedback.
