Crown the Year

You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.
Psalm 65:11 (NKJV)

Dear Ones: Crown the Year! With every new year there is an opportunity to look for the hand of God to turn things to our favor. David sang in Psalm 27:13, “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.” Let us not allow the naysayers and doom-and-gloom voices to capture our thoughts.

As Christians, we have the promise of the Lord that He will never forsake us. Even under the old covenant the children of Israel prospered when they followed God. Isaac prospered during a time of famine as revealed in Genesis 26:12-13. “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous.”

As the new year begins, seek the Lord by searching His Word for directions for yourself, your family, and your nation. Believe that He will crown the year with His goodness and mercy. Press in to hear His voice, then follow His directions. He is the One Who holds your future to prosper you and to give you hope. May this year be crowned with the glory of His presence. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
