Now let your unfailing love comfort me, just as you promised me, your servant.
Dear Ones: Comfort me, was the cry of the psalmist to the Lord. He knew where to turn to find comfort and peace for his soul. These words are for our enlightenment. The Lord has promised to care for those who are in His family. He also extends mercy to the lost as to draw them out of the darkness and into the Light of His presence. Our merciful and faithful Father is concerned about our salvation, peace and comfort.
Take comfort in these words from 1 John 1:7, NLT, “But if we live in the light, as God is in the light, we can share fellowship with each other. Then the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, cleanses us from every sin.” He is ever faithful and caring toward those who believe in the Son. The world may seem to spin out of control, but He will uphold us and bring comfort to us in it all. It is a good day to remember these things as you go about your jobs today.
May your cry, “comfort me,” be answered with His loving embrace. Let yourself rest in this embrace and draw strength from His presence. May His favor pour out upon you and yours today. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
