Christmas Thoughts: Psalm 97

10 You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. 11 Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart. 12 Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

Psalm 97

Dear Ones: The Light of HIS presence and gladness of heart have been planted deeply in your souls if HE is your LORD. Yesterday, we read about Mary’s joy for truly she had gladness of heart because she believed the angel and her heart was upright before the LORD. It is a good time to remember why the LORD came as a babe on that holy day. The Father’s love sent HIM on a rescue mission because HE wanted HIS family to be reconciled to HIMSELF. HE finished HIS portion of the work, now we are to walk in HIS victory and push back the darkness in our lives, in our families, on our jobs, and in our nation. If HE has done all this, then who can succeed against the Father’s plan for our lives?

May you remember HIS birth and HIS mission as you go about your daily duties. May the promise of HIS return give you hope and bring joy to your soul. May HIS goodness & mercy enfold you as you carry this great joy wherever you roam today. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
