Christmas Thoughts: Luke 1

Luke 1: 46 And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.

Luke 1:46-47

Dear Ones: I share Mary’s declaration to Elizabeth in the first chapter of Luke to reveal the joy in her spirit. She accepted the assignment to carry the Messiah knowing full well that the Jewish law was set against her. She had not spoken to her fiancé, Joseph, but still she rejoiced. The promised Messiah was coming and she had a part in God’s plan.

You may not have the same assignment as Mary had, but you do have an assignment for HIS Kingdom nevertheless. Each Christian has a God-ordained plan established for their life. It is a good plan to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future. (See Jeremiah 29:11.) Even though we may not see the fruit of this plan manifested yet, we can still rejoice because of our faith in our faithful Father’s ability to bring HIS good plans to pass for us.

May the joy Mary expressed be a part of your Christmas season this year. May the goodness of our Father’s plans come forth in your life today. May you experience the excitement of HIS presence and faithfulness. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
