Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
Dear Ones: Casting the Whole of Your Cares! Don’t hang on to anxiety, worries, or concerns, cast them all onto the Lord. His shoulders are big enough to carry them and you through whatever you are facing. Sometimes we get so used to carrying these burdens that we do not realize that we are weighted down. But once we learn to cast them onto the Lord, we realize what true freedom really is.
The enemy is known as the taskmaster. His plan is to drive us until we collapse under the weight of the stress and anxiety, he piles onto us. When we look at Martha in Luke 10, we see someone who is weighted down with the cares of serving. She was so consumed with doing that she missed communing with her Savior and receiving His teachings. The Lord corrected Martha in Luke 10:41-42 this way, “And Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.’”
The Lord was well able to provide the feast for all present by multiplication. He sought Martha’s fellowship instead of her kitchen work. His desire was for her to partake of His spiritual food that He was giving to the others. He wanted Martha to cast her cares onto Him and to receive His Words of Life.
Receive Peter’s call, “Casting the whole of your cares on Him,” today. The Lord desires your fellowship and demonstration of faith when you do this. Trust Him to care for you, your family, and your nation. He is the Great Overcomer and Victor over all the power of the enemy. Cast your cares onto Him and rest in the knowledge that He wants you to do this. He is more than able to take care of what concerns you today. Remember, in Him you are an overcomer. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
