Jonathan said to his young armor bearer, “Come, let us cross over to the garrison of these uncircumcised men; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For there is nothing to prevent the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”
Dear Ones: By Many or By Few! Jonathan reveals to us an important truth called the remnant principle. God just needs a remnant of believers to do a mighty work against the forces of darkness. Jonathan and his aide started a great victory for Israel because they believed God was working with them.
Therefore, when you enter the secret place to commune with the Lord, know that you have Him working with you as you pray. Use Luke 10:19. AMPC as your starting point. “Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.” Follow Jonathan’s example and believe that the Lord is working for you on every issue that contends with you today.
Some folks have the wrong impression that they need an army of prayers to accomplish mighty things on a national level. But the truth is that the Lord can accomplish His plans by many or by few. In the past a dedicated few or remnant turned the tide of many WWII battles for the Allies. The few knew how to do spiritual warfare and did not relent until the Spirit gave them the victory.
Declaration: “I believe that the Lord can accomplish great victories by many or by few. My place in prayer is with the few who will not relent until the battle is won. I declare victory in every situation facing myself, my family, and my nation as a member of the few. He gave me the authority to use His power against the forces of darkness. In Him I am an overcomer. Praise the Lord!” Have a victorious day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
