Believing-prayer

Are you hurting? Pray. Do you feel great? Sing. Are you sick? Call the church leaders together to pray and anoint you with oil in the name of the Master. Believing-prayer will heal you, and Jesus will put you on your feet. And if you’ve sinned, you’ll be forgiven—healed inside and out.
James 5:15 (MSG)

Dear Ones: Believing-prayer! This sounds so easy to do. But in truth, it is not so simple. The prayer of faith is constantly challenged by the minions of darkness: doubt, unbelief, fear, etc. For example, Mark 9:24, AMP reveals the father’s cry for his son. “Immediately the father of the boy cried out [with a desperate, piercing cry], saying, ‘I do believe; help [me overcome] my unbelief.’”

The voice of the enemy works overtime to keep us focused on his attacks. The flesh responds to the attacks in a natural way: pain, swelling, and many other symptoms too numerous to mention. This environment is rife with all sorts of negative emotions where unbelief is a major player.

However, the work of the Cross of Christ left nothing undone. He provided for us to walk in health and healing no matter what the enemy does. The truth of the Word is more powerful; it’s filled with His overcoming provisions. But we must believe in the Word and stand on it until the enemy retreats. James 4:7, AMP, instructs us, “So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you.”

Declaration: “Lord, instruct me in believing-prayer. Help me to identify the attacks of unbelief and doubt that rise up during my prayer time. I do believe that You are greater than the forces of darkness challenging me today. I submit to You and resist all the tactics of the enemy. In Christ, I am an overcomer; I am healed. Praise God!” Have a believing and receiving day—healed inside and out. Walk in the blessings of the Master.
