Be Still

“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” … Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me [ceased from fretting].
Psalm 46:10 (NLT); 131:2 (AMPC)

Dear Ones: Be Still! Even when the nations war and everything looks gloomy, remember Who He is. Cease from fretting and begin to declare the greatness of the Lord over yourself, your family, and your nation. Quiet your soul so you can hear His still small voice bringing instruction and comfort to your heart.

The Archangel Gabriel said to Mary in Luke 1:37, “For with God nothing will be impossible.” He announced that the virgin Mary would bear a child by the intervention of the Holy Spirit. This is naturally impossible but not for God. So, why would we think that anything dealing with mankind—the nations of the world—would be beyond His ability to handle? When we quiet our minds and be still, then we allow these words of truth to strengthen our faith and bring calm to our souls.

Whatever you are facing today is not too hard for the Lord to handle. He will turn what was meant to destroy you for your benefit. With every victory your faith is strengthened. The enemy cannot touch your victory which then becomes your testimony of the Lord’s goodness and power. Our testimony is a major spiritual weapon we use against the forces of darkness. (See Revelation 12:11.)

Choose to be still and quiet your soul today. Don’t let the doom and gloom spread by the media rule your thoughts. In your medical situation believe the report of the Lord—By His stripes you are healed. He is not only able to calm your soul but to still the nations in their quest for rampant destruction. It is a good day to remember who’s your Father. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
