Rumble: Be Led by the Spirit Video
Paul is continuing to move our videos off of YouTube and onto Rumble. This is a precautionary measure because YouTube has been known to be unfriendly to the Christian posters on their site.
In this video, we continue to study the Sermon on the Mount and the Lord’s instruction to be led by the Spirit and not emotions. The enemy specializes in attacking our emotions. If he can keep us snared in an emotional pit, then our ability to hear the voice of the Spirit is blocked. God has emotions, but the fruit of self-control is the governor that keeps them in check. Here is an excerpt from the video transcript to give you an idea of the lesson content.
“When the Lord God created mankind, He created them in His image and likeness. God has emotions and so He created man with them as well. Since God is love, He made mankind with the capacity to love. The fact that we have emotions enables us to love the Lord God with our whole hearts. He gave us emotions and the freewill to exercise them. After the fall, man’s emotions were no longer regulated by a sinless spirit-man because man’s spirit had become separated from God: dead in sin and trespasses. However, the Lord Jesus brought the news that there was no need to worry, be fretful, or anxious because the Father would take care of us. In Him we would be reconciled back to the Father through the work of the Cross. We are to cast our cares upon Him knowing that He is able to take care of what concerns us.”
