5 If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind.
Dear Ones: Ask for Wisdom! Wisdom is the ability to discern inner qualities, relationships; judgment or insight. In these turbulent times, we need godly wisdom to direct our steps. There are many voices spewing out one idea after another, but is it good advice? Is it for you and your family? You are a unique individual, and your circumstances are distinctive. So, cookie-cutter solutions won’t do.
Psalm 139:14 tells us, “For I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” The LORD designed your fingerprints and numbered the hairs on your head. He knows you down to deep recesses of your soul. His wisdom considers all of these things and will guide you on your personal path in life. You are not a just another head to be counted; you are His precious child.
May you seek His wisdom this week for all that concerns you and your family. Let faith rise up and banish doubt and unbelief. He truly desires to guide your steps and keep your foot from the traps of the dark one. Think on these things and have a great week. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
