23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 … Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
Dear Ones: Ask and You will Receive! These words were spoken by the Lord on the night He was betrayed. The 14th through the 16th chapters of John are like a death bed teaching. He knew what was coming and He wanted to impart vital information to His disciples before His passion. He wanted to assure their hearts and ours that we can go to the Father in His name. If we ask, in His name, then the Father will hear, and we will receive.
Most assuredly, the disciples were confused, depressed, and disappointed when they saw Him die on the Cross. But He had left them with words of instruction and hope. We live in dark times where everything seems to be flipping upside down. But these words comfort us today because our access to all the resources of the Kingdom come through Him. In His Name we are more than conquerors.
May the Lord’s words resonate in your spirit today. Ask the Father in His name and expect to receive. May your joy overflow onto those who you meet today. You are more than a conqueror; you have the legal right to use His name in all that concerns you today. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
