The night is far gone and the day is almost here. Let us then drop (fling away) the works and deeds of darkness and put on the [full] armor of light.
Dear Ones: Armor of Light! Our Father is the Greatest Provider of all time. He enjoys showering blessings upon His children. The bounty of His table goes beyond all that we can ask or think. However, He also bestows other things on those who are in Christ. We have access to and are encouraged to put on His full Armor of Light.
This armor can be likened to a “mobile” secret place that David sings about in Psalm 23. When we are clothed in His armor, then when the enemy attacks us, all he sees is the blazing light of our King’s armor. The dark one and his minions cannot live in this light. Remember, Light drives out darkness.
Armor Up
My grandma told me that you can learn much about a woman by looking at how her children are dressed. She was not talking about designer fashions but were the children dressed in clean clothes and well cared for. Our Father is concerned about our garments too as reveled in Zechariah 3:3, 5, NKJV. “Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, ‘Take away the filthy garments from him.’ And to him He said, ‘See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.’ … So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.”
As children of the Light, we are His representatives to this lost and hurting world. Our Lord takes great pleasure in clothing us with garments that reflect His indwelling presence. We have His Armor of Light, garments of salvation, robes of righteousness, and garments of praise in our spiritual wardrobe. When you dress for the day, be sure to don these spiritual garments before leaving your home.
His Armor of Light is perfectly fitted for you. Don’t take it off; it never needs to go to the cleaners. In fact, His Light continually cleans away the debris of darkness that tries to stick to you. Each day has its own troubles, but His light is a bulwark against the dark one and his attacks. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
