Pray Diligently

Pray diligently. Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude.
Colossians 4:2 (MSG)

Dear Ones: Pray diligently! Diligence means a steady, earnest, and energetic effort concerning the issue at hand. The dark one and his minions do not take vacations. They are constantly searching for ways to sabotage your Christian walk. When you pray diligently it is not because the Lord is hard of hearing, but for your good. As you train your mind to seek Him first in all things, then the voice of the dark ones (fear, doubt, unbelief, depression, etc..) are muted by your diligence to stay spiritual alert to His leading.

Many times, we are called to pray not for our particular circumstances but to intercede for a family member, work mate, or for our nation. The attacks of the evil one are like mortar barrages that never seem to stop. But in Christ we are able to have His peace in the middle of the storms. When we become diligent in our prayer life and listen with our ears tuned to His voice, He will warn us of things to come. As a result, our prayers are able to stop the plots and schemes of the wicked ones from even occurring or at least mitigate their effect.

May you take up the call to pray diligently. Stay alert and always give Him thanks for what He has done and what He is doing. Remember, your prayers, intercessions, and declarations have more power than the dark ones. In Him you are more than a conqueror. Have a great day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
