God’s Word is Alive

God’s word is alive and working and is sharper than a double-edged sword. It cuts all the way into us, where the soul and the spirit are joined, to the center of our joints and bones. And it judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts.

Hebrews 4:12 (NCV)

Dear Ones: God’s Word is Alive! Have you thought about this? When you speak His Word out loud, it goes forth as a spiritual living substance. It is a powerful weapon against the enemy, but it also is like a surgeon’s scalpel. It will search the depth of your being to help you on your quest to become more like our King.

Psalm 41:1 tells us that the tongue is the pen of a ready writer. But how can this be and where is it writing? When you speak His alive Word then your tongue becomes a pen that writes the Words of Life on the tablet of your heart. (See Proverbs 7:2-3) In Psalm 119:11, the psalmist declares that he hides the Word in his heart so he will not sin against the Lord. God’s Word is alive and working when you sent it forth from your lips in faith it will do a magnificent heart work in your inner man. So, the next time you quote a verse (especially the ones spoken by our King Jesus) consider these things.

May you come to know the awesome power of speaking His Word out loud in faith. The volume of your voice is not the power, but the faith you operate in will greatly affect your outcome. Speak His Word expecting to receive His blessings and change the very atmosphere around you. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
