For you are the children of your father the devil and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning and a hater of truth—there is not an iota of truth in him. When he lies, it is perfectly normal; for he is the father of liars.
Dear Ones: The Father of Liars! I recently heard the Spirit of God say, “The enemy has sent out lying spirits to harass and destroy My people.” Lying spirits must be accepted and entertained by humans so they can do their destructive work. You see this verified in 1 Kings 22:22 where a lying spirit operated through the mouths of false prophets.
The first action of a lying spirit is to come upon someone throwing thought bombs of fear, greed, jealousy and hate convincing the victim that it is their ideas. Then the lies are spoken spewing the poison into the very atmosphere. But believers are not left helpless, we have the Spirit of Truth sent by the Father to enable us to see through the lies before they can take root and produce destructive fruit.
The Father of Liars always Lie
The father of liars only succeeds if we are complacent and believe we are powerless against such an onslaught of evil. First Corinthians 2:16, AMP, tells us. “For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes].” We must learn to activate the mind of Christ so that we do not fall prey to lying spirits. The atmosphere is heavy with misdirection and subterfuge in our personal lives and in our governments. Lying symptoms and half-truths abound in this hour.
But declare today that the father of liars shall not prevail against the child of God who has activated the mind of Christ. As you use His wisdom and spiritual discernment, the lies fade away even as the morning fog is burned off by the sun. Then you can stand in the fullness of the Son-shine that comes as you exit the wilderness leaning on His arm.
