Here’s the knowledge you need: you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you. And you will be My witnesses, first here in Jerusalem, then beyond to Judea and Samaria, and finally to the farthest places on earth.
Dear Ones: The Knowledge you need! These are some of the parting words spoken by the Lord before He ascended into heaven. But these words were recorded by Luke so that this knowledge could be passed on to generations of believers throughout time. When the Holy Spirit comes, He comes bringing power to overcome the darkness and to spread the good news of the gospel of Christ. People receive the news of salvation as the already saved ones share their testimonies.
Sir Francis Bacon wrote long ago the adage: Knowledge is power. If natural knowledge is a transformative power agent, then spiritual knowledge given by the Spirit is supernatural. This supernatural power in the presence of the Holy Spirit is only limited by our faith in receiving it. When we receive something, it means we accept it, which is an exercise of our freewill. However, acceptance must be followed by using and operating in the power as the Spirit guides us.
The Knowledge you need the power of the Holy Spirit is essential to your spiritual development into an overcomer in Christ. Receive the Spirit and all the gifts He brings with joy. Ask Him to teach you how to operate in power to be bold witnesses to others. This boldness will transform your thinking that you are no longer a victim, but a victorious child of God endued with power to push back the darkness. It is a good day to meditate on these things.
