I Will Hope

But I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more. … Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.
Psalm 71:14, NKJV; Hebrews 11:1, TPT

Dear Ones: I Will Hope! These verses from the Old and the New Testaments are complementary. The psalmist is confessing his hope which causes praise to come forth. In Hebrews we see the explanation of the psalmist’s diligence and praise. Hope and Faith! Faith and Hope! There is power in their synergy.

Hope points to the future and needs faith to bring substance to the heart’s desires. Faith needs hope as a platform from which to launch into the now. Though the times we live in seem to be getting darker, the child of God sees with the eyes of faith as hope in the goodness of God causes praises to arise in all situations.

Declare: “I will hope in the Lord. Hope and faith accompany me wherever I go. These twins change the very atmosphere around me to affect everyone in my sphere of influence. I know hope in You, Lord, drives out the enemies of despair and fear. And it lays a sure foundation for my faith to stand on in my current situation. I am an overcomer!” Have an overcoming day in the LORD. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
