Now on Rumble: Holy Spirit—Promise Advocate Guide
Paul is continuing to move our videos off of YouTube and onto Rumble. This is a precautionary measure because YouTube has been known to be unfriendly to the Christian posters on their site.
In this lesson we study the attributes of the Holy Spirit: Promise Advocate Guide. The Master commanded His followers to wait for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit before going out to preach the Gospel. Hence, they needed the enduing power of the Spirit’s presence to do Kingdom work. This principle has never changed. That is why it is essential to our Christian Walk to understand, embrace, and cooperate with the Spirit. Here is an excerpt from the video transcript to encourage you to watch the video.
John 1:12, KJV
There is a theme running through this lesson: the bestowing or enduing of power is deemed essential by the Lord God for His people to navigate the path of life to the Kingdom’s higher ground as victorious Christians. Before the Lord Jesus began His three and a half years of ministry, He was baptized by John in the Jordan River and the Holy Spirit came upon Him even in the form of a dove. “For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands” (John 3:34-35, NIV84). The Lord Jesus told the disciples to wait for the promise of the Spirit to come in power because they would need Him to live the overcoming Christian life and to fully restore the synergy between man’s spirit, soul and body where their reborn spirit-man—which is indwelt by and submitted to the Lord Jesus—rules over their souls and their bodies.
