When you eat the fruit of the labor of your hands, You will be happy and it will go well for you
Dear Ones: Eat the Fruit! The topic of this psalm is: The Blessings of Those Who fear the Lord. They will eat the bounty of their work. This fear is reverential awe for the One Who releases His favor upon them and everything they do.
It is good to stop and consider how the Lord’s blessings are manifested in our lives. It seems that troubles rise up to block our perspectives of just how our lives are really blessed. Like passing clouds on an otherwise clear day, their shadows block the sun for a time. But the sun is not concerned, it just continues to shine its light waiting for the clouds to pass. In like fashion, our good Father is constantly working to enable us to eat the fruit of our labor and be happy.
On this Labor Day, be sure to pause your activities and thank the Lord for the many blessings you enjoy. The clouds of trouble will pass away, but His goodness will continue to shine in your life. Have a blessed and safe day as you enjoy eating the fruit of your labor.
