Bold Confidence

We live in the bold confidence that God hears our voices when we ask for things that fit His plan. And if we have no doubt that He hears our voices, we can be assured that He moves in response to our call.
1 John 5:14-15 (VOICE)

Dear Ones: Bold Confidence! This verse is a companion to Hebrews 4:16, VOICE. “So let us step boldly to the throne of grace, where we can find mercy and grace to help when we need it most.” These verses inspire the attribute of boldness of spirit when we pray. Our boldness is not birthed from self-confidence or arrogance, but in knowing God as our loving Father. And believing that we will see the goodness of the God manifested in our lives.

When we know God as our Father through Christ, we enter into an intimate relationship based on mutual love. The love bond of parent and child produces a bold confidence in the child to ask for help when in need. When we are bold, we are fearless in our words and actions. Our boldness in prayer comes from knowing that His will and plans for our lives are good. Then we are certain that He hears us and will response to our requests.

The enemy works hard to challenge our bold confidence in God’s ability to help us with negative thoughts and schemes. He will use others to try and dissuade us from being fearless in our faith in God’s goodness. But remember, he is a liar. He fears our boldness of faith in Christ because it destroys his works against us. (See 1 John 3:8.)

Declare: “Lord, I come with bold confidence to ask for help to accomplish Your plans for my life, my family, and my nation. Help me to walk in the bold assurance of Your ability to turn every adverse situation to my favor. I believe that I will experience the goodness of the Lord every day of my life. Praise the Lord!” Have a blessed day in Jesus’ name.
