Jesus said, “Everyone who drinks this water will get thirsty again and again. Anyone who drinks the water I give will never thirst—not ever. The water I give will be an artesian spring within, gushing fountains of endless life.”
Dear Ones: Artesian Spring! An artesian spring is a natural spring where groundwater is forced to the surface by pressure from confined aquifers. These types of water sources do not need a pump. The water bubbles up to the surface because of the pressures created when water is trapped between impermeable rock layers.
The Master used the example of a natural flowing spring of water to explain the spiritual waters of life that follow out of a believer’s inner man. The force that brings His spiritual waters to the surface of our lives is the power of the work of the Holy Spirit within us. He is the Spirit of Life. Therefore, everything that comes from the source of His power brings life.
Water is an essential element we need for life. Science tells us that a person can only last 3 days without it. So, we drink it frequently during the day because our body needs it. However, the Master declared that we need to drink from the spiritual springs of life for our spiritual health. He sent Holy Spirit to dwell in us to enable us to access the artesian spring of His life-giving power. The wonder of this life-giving spring is that we can share it with others in our sphere of influence.
Declare: “Lord, help me to drink deeply of the spiritual artesian spring of life-giving waters that flows by the power of the Spirit in me. Help me to quench my spiritual thirst for the knowledge of Your will for my life, my family, and my nation. Saturate my soul in these waters so I will not become spiritually parched and dry. Enable me to sprinkle these waters on those I meet throughout my day. Thank You for quenching my thirst! Praise the Lord!” Have a water filled day in Jesus’ name.
