I am the Lord who created you; from the time you were born, I have helped you. Do not be afraid;
Dear Ones: Do not be afraid! In Isaiah’s day, Father God spoke these words to the people of Israel. By reason of the Abrahamic covenant, God called them His servants, His people. However, believers are also in covenant with the Father through the Cross of Christ. But we have a far better covenant in Christ and can got to God as His children and not just servants.
Let these words of comfort bring peace to your soul even in these challenging times. When God vows to help you, He is not making small talk. He means what He says. Then He delivers on His promises. Your doting Father has assigned angelic beings to guard and help you from the time you were conceived. He personally designed your unique fingerprints and numbered the hairs on your head. The Father’s goodness is greater than what you can imagine, so do not be afraid of what the enemy can do. You are a child of God.
Declare: “My Father, my heart responds in affirmation to Your words, “Do not be afraid.” Thank You for the covenant of the Cross that certifies me as your child. I know that there is nothing too hard for You to do. When You send Your word forth it accomplishes what You sent it to do. So, I believe what You have commissioned me to do, You will make sure that I succeed at it for Your glory. Praise Your holy name!” Be fearless today in Jesus’ name.
