Wholly Devoted to a Holy God

Now on Rumble: Laodicea—Wholly Devoted to a Holy God

Paul is continuing to move our videos off of YouTube and onto Rumble. This is a precautionary measure because YouTube has been known to be unfriendly to the Christian posters on their site.

In this lesson we continue to study the message for Laodicea—Wholly Devoted to a Holy God. What does God expect from His people? Holiness! Here is an excerpt from the video transcript to encourage you to watch the video.

Leviticus 19:2; 1 Peter 1:16, NKJV

Under the Old and New Covenants the people of God are called to be “holy.” Holy[i] is defined to be sacred; ceremonially and morally clean; pure. In these verses from Leviticus and First Peter, the commandment to be holy comes from the Lord, therefore it is achievable. However, the child of God cannot achieve this goal in his own strength or by his own works; it must be accomplished by Holy Spirit dwelling within the believer to produce the God-like holiness He requires.
The Lord reveals in His message to the Laodiceans that a lukewarm or half-hearted devotion to Him turns His stomach. He prefers a person to be hot (on fire for Him) or cold (lost not knowing Him at all) instead of lukewarm (knowing about Him, giving Him lip service, but not fully committed to Him). “He answered and said to them, ‘Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: “This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me”’” (Mark 7:6, NKJV). Lip service is not acceptable to the Lord. He is looking for whole-hearted devotion because that is the way He loves. (Wholly means to the full or entire extent; completely; to the exclusion of other things.)

I respectfully ask you to please watch and share this video. It is vitally important to share what the Holy Spirit is saying to believers in this hour. A simple share to one of the groups you subscribe to will do a lot to get the videos out.

In addition, I hope you will use the references below the video as a jumping off point for your personal study. The Spirit will guide you and lead you.
