Now on Rumble: Laodicea—The Message
Paul is continuing to move our videos off of YouTube and onto Rumble. This is a precautionary measure because YouTube has been known to be unfriendly to the Christian posters on their site.
In this lesson we begin to study Laodicea—The Message. The Lord was not able to commend anything they were doing. In fact, His rebuke was stronger than even the one He gave to Sardius. As we dig into this message, consider how relevant it is today. For the condition of the “church-at-large” can truly be likened to that of Laodicea. The mercy of the Lord is revealed in all of the seven messages, but especially in His message to Laodicea. Even though their true spiritual condition was personally disgusting to the Lord, He counseled them, showed them the way of restoration, and made great promises to those who repented and overcame their self-satisfied manner of living. The truth that the Lord spoke to the Laodiceans may have hurt their pride and their feelings, but it was actually a lifeline thrown to them by the Head of the Church, rescuing them from their dangerous spiritual condition. His great mercy and compassion motivated Him to send these messages to the seven city-churches in order to reaffirm the moral code of Christian living that He had ordained to fortify His Body and that HE established in the Sermon on the Mount.
