After talking it over with the people, Jehoshaphat appointed a choir for God; dressed in holy robes, they were to march ahead of the troops, singing, Give thanks to God, His love never quits.
Dear Ones: His Love Never Quits! The armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir were gathered together to make war with Judah. These were not just a small group of enemies, but the conglomeration of three national armies. This was a very serious situation because they planned to wipe Judah off the map. But the Word of the Lord came through the prophet and encouraged the people and the king.
Jehoshaphat responded to the prophetic word by consulting the people. The singers were stationed as the vanguard of their army. They sang songs of praise, declaring His love never quits protecting His people. A great victory was given to Judah as the Lord sent chaos into the enemy’s camp. They ended up killing each other and Judah was left to pick up the spoils.
Praise Him for a Love that Never Quits
The take-away we have from this recorded event assures us that praising the Lord is a mighty weapon of spiritual warfare. Our praise and the prophetic declarations given by Holy Spirit enable us to prevail against stronger and more numerous enemies. With the Lord on our side, no weapon formed against us can prosper or succeed. Our part is to believe and obey His instructions.
Declare today: “I believe His love never quits working for me and protecting me. The Lord’s plans for my life, my family, and my nation give me hope for a good future. What may appear as a great mountain of opposition to my blessings shall crumb under the weight of my gratitude and praise. My God is awesome in power, majesty, and love for me. Praise the Lord!” Have a wonderful day in Christ.
