So Abraham named that place The Lord Provides. Even today people say, “On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.”
Dear Ones: The Lord Provides! Abraham spoke these words after God provided the ram in the bush. He sacrificed the ram instead of his son, Isaac. God tested Abraham to see if he would offer his only son by Sarah. Through the blood covenant he had with God, he knew that God would have to honor His word even if He had to raise Isaac from the dead. (See Hebrews 11:17-19.)
When we read the psalms of David, we see how God provided for David even in the most difficult times of his life. During Jesus’ earth-bound ministry, we witness how He constantly provided for the needs of those who came to Him for help. The New Testament continued the story of God’s great provisions to believers even in very dangerous times.
Our God and Father does not change. His mercies, grace, and lovingkindness endure forever. As we enter this new year, let us focus on His attribute as Provider. Abraham called Him the Lord Who Provides. We just need to put our trust and faith in His sincerity to take care of our needs according to His riches in glory.
Declare today: “The Lord Provides for my every need: great and small. His provisions are limitless, and His plans are good. I trust in His faithfulness and ability to take care of me, my family, and my nation. God is good and His mercies endure forever. Praise the Lord!” Have an abundant day being His child. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
