Neither is He served by human hands, as though He lacked anything, for it is He Himself Who gives life and breath and all things to all [people].
Dear Ones: Gives Life and Breath! This verse comes from Paul’s address to the Greeks in Athens. He was contrasting the difference between their heathen gods and the True God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. This verse is one to store in your memory banks. When the enemy attacks your breath (lungs, respiratory system) use it to defeat the assault.
He truly gives you life and breath. In addition, He also bestows great blessings on those who call upon His name in faith. However, the enemy constantly challenges your faith in God’s ability to keep you filled with life and breath. The deceiver only wants to spread death, destruction, grief, and lies. It is the same trick played on Adam and Eve in the garden: doubting Father God’s goodness and ability to care for you.
Life and Breath and All Things
But 1 John 4:9-10, NLT, reveals the greatness of the Father’s love toward all of mankind. “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” This is a companion verse of Acts 17:25 that elaborates on what Paul told the Greeks. Sow it into the soil of your heart and use it against the lies of the enemy.
Declaration: “My Father-God loves me and gives life and breath to my body. He kept nothing back, even sending His Son to take away my sins. I love You back, Father, with a heart of thanksgiving and praise. With every breath, I thank You for my life, my family and my nation. Fill me with your Holy Spirit fire, today. Praise the Lord!” I bless you in Jesus’ name.
