My Strength and Shield

The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
Psalm 28:7 (NLT)

Dear Ones: My Strength and Shield! David sang this song in response to answered prayer. Joy overflows in our hearts when we receive the answer to our petitions. Proverbs 13:12b, NLT, tells us, “A dream fulfilled is a tree of life.” When we trust Him with all our hearts, we draw on the power of the Holy Spirit. This is the same power of Life that was in the Tree of Life in the Garden. But we do not consume natural fruit but partake of the fruit of the Spirit causing faith to rise up.

Our activated faith gives our hope substance. We are truly convinced that He is able and willing to help us through any adverse situation we are facing. As we rehearse His goodness in song, our joy explodes. Giving thanks to our good, good Father becomes an everyday affair.

Especially, in these trying times, we must remember where our strength comes from. There is an open invitation to join Him in the secret place and hide under the shadow of His wings. Is it not time to fully realize that He takes good care of His children?

Declaration: “I declare that the Lord is my strength and shield in these troubling times. He is supplying all of my needs according to His riches in glory. I go boldly to His throne with a grateful heart to thank Him for all that He is doing in my life, my family, and my nation. In Him, I am an overcomer, and no weapon formed against me can defeat the Jesus in me. Praise the Lord!” Have a blessed day in Jesus’ name.
