He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches.
Dear Ones: What the Spirit Says! John transcribed these words spoken by King Jesus in the letters to the seven churches. This is great news. Don’t you realize that Jesus confirms the fact that the Holy Spirit communicates with believers. The letters to the seven churches were not private eyes-only for the leadership but were to be read to all believers in those cities. Then the letters were transcribed and passed around to all churches by the command of the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit never stopped communicating with the body of Christ. However as the years passed the enemy campaigned to convince believers only a few could hear the voice of the Spirit. And he has had great success with it. But the Head of the Body wants all believers to know, to understand, and to obey the Holy Spirit, who is our Teacher and Guide.
The question is: Are you listening for His voice to guide you in your everyday life? Very seldom does the Spirit use a bullhorn to get your attention. But that doesn’t mean He won’t. It is just not His normal way. He desires you to tune your spiritual senses to the tone of His voice so you will be quick to respond to Him. This engenders an intimate relationship and not a cursory acquaintance. Children know and respond to their parents’ voices even in a crowd.
Declaration: “I am training my ears to hear what the Spirit says to me every day. Whether He speaks in a whisper or uses a bullhorn, my heart’s desire is to hear and obey what He tells me. I have ears to hear and a willing heart to obey because I am an overcomer. Praise the Lord!” Have a blessed day in Jesus’ name.
