Walk with Care

You have given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your support has made me strong. You taught me how to walk with care so my feet would not slip.
2 Samuel 22:36-37 (VOICE)

Dear Ones: Walk with Care! Psalm 37:23, NKJV, is a companion verse. “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.” These verses give us good instructions to always ask the Lord about the issues of life we face every day. It is not just when we come to a crossroad where there are numerous options we could take. But the instruction is meant for everything that we have to deal with.

It’s as simple as listening for the Holy Spirit’s guidance. For example, which route to take to work. Many accidents have been thwarted by obeying the guidance of the Spirit. Sometimes His guidance is so subtle that we neglect to realize that He is helping us to walk with care throughout the day. Stop and think about the near misses we have escaped in traffic or avoiding a slip and fall. The Lord is watching over us, but we must do our part to listen to and obey His urgings.

Declaration: “The Lord is ordering my steps to walk with care around all of the snares and traps of the enemy. He is my shield and has made me strong. The Lord is keeping my foot from slipping and guiding me to make the right decisions. I am an overcomer.” Have a blessed day in Jesus’ name.
