Under Your Feet

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ be upon you.
Romans 16:20 (TLB)

Dear Ones: Under Your Feet! YES! The enemy has attacked you, but God does not plan on him winning or destroying you and yours. The power of the presence of Christ living in you (Christian) is able to crush the enemy under your feet. As Paul is closing out this epistle to the Roman Church, he makes sure that he leaves them with encouraging words of victory.

You may say, “But God will crush my enemies under His feet.” However, Paul says it another way. The God who dwells in you—Christ in you—will crush the enemy under YOUR feet. This means you are enabled to enforce His victory in your everyday life. A soldier is expected to use the weapons given to him when he goes into battle. Paul tells us every Christian is a good soldier for Christ. So, the Lord expects you to use the weapons He has provided for you through the Cross against the enemy when he attacks. (See 2 Timothy 2.)

The presence of Christ in you is a source of great power that is far greater than what the enemy can throw at you. You have 1 John 4:4, NKJV, as confirmation. “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” This is a good life verse to quote every day.

Believe that God is able and determined to crush your enemies under your feet. Not just once in a while, but everyday this is true. Sickness, disease, financial lack, depression, or anything that crept in at the fall of Adam is an enemy to your soul. But in Him you are able to stomp these things into the dirt and rise up as an overcomer. Have a victorious day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
