But the people of God will sing a song of joy, like the songs at the holy festivals. You will be filled with joy, as when a flutist leads a group of pilgrims to Jerusalem, the mountain of the Lord— to the Rock of Israel.
Dear Ones: A Song of Joy! Yes, when the enemy who has attacked your body, soul, and spirit is driven back by the power of God, a song will rise up in you and explode into the atmosphere around you. Your joy will overflow because your faith and trust in God has been vindicated by the defeat of the darkness. This is the celebration that awaits you on the other side of the wilderness.
But you might say, “I cannot see it, now. This wilderness journey is too hard for me.” Remember, you are not alone in this wilderness valley. The Lord walks every step with you whether you are aware of His presence or not. John 14:18, TLB, reveals the truth from the lips of the Master, “No, I will not abandon you or leave you as orphans in the storm—I will come to you.” Storms do not last forever. They will end and the atmosphere changes because it has been purged by the wind and rain.
Let a song of joy come out of your mouth as you think on these things. The wilderness is not your home, but just a place you are passing through. As high praise comes out of your mouth, the enemy’s retreat will quicken because praise is a war weapon in your mouth. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
