When Troubles Come

For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock.
Psalm 27:5 (NLT)

Dear Ones: When Troubles Come! The Lord will cover you and hide you in a place so secret that the enemy cannot find you. This is the place carved in the Eternal Rock, Who is Christ. But there is a condition to this place of safety, you must stay in Him. This is where your activated faith becomes rock solid to believe His power will keep you safe.

A hiding place is only as good as your determination to stay in the protected area. This is very true with your spiritual walk. The Lord, your Protector, is likened to a shepherd who guards over his flock. But the sheep have to stay within the shepherd’s view to remain safe. Remember, at the first Passover, the Hebrews were commanded to stay indoors behind the blood, or they would be struck down just like the Egyptians if they were first born.

The wonderful news of this hiding place is that it is also a place where you wage war against the enemies of God. From your position on His Eternal Rock, you are enabled to see from His perspective and speak His words of power against the enemy. Remember, the Lord’s words in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

When troubles come take up your position of faith and rest in Him—The Eternal Rock. Use the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, against your attackers. Don’t rehearse what the dark ones are doing, speak His Word boldly and see the delivering hand of the Lord. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
