God is faithful [He is reliable, trustworthy and ever true to His promise—He can be depended on], and through Him you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Dear Ones: God is Faithful! Faithfulness is one of the fruits of His Divine Nature. (See Galatians 5:22-23.) As Christians we are granted the right to partake of His Divine Nature as revealed in 2 Peter 1:4. “And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature.”
God established His trustworthiness throughout the ages by fulfilled prophecies. At the perfect time, He sent His Son to redeem mankind from the fall. Israel was restored to the land twice, too. The promises of His second coming are yet to be fulfilled. But from observing His track record of fulfilled prophecies it is sure to be. Numbers 23:9 reveals to us that, “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
The faithfulness of God goes beyond mere human reliability. He is faithful even when we are not.
His delivering hand is forever extended to those who call upon His name. From Exodus until now He is faithful to keep His word in Exodus 15:26b. “For I am the Lord who heals you.” Go to Him in our hour of need, whatever the circumstances, and receive the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Rejoice because God is Faithful. Keep your eyes on Him. Rehearse His Word in your mind until the reality of His faithfulness fills your soul. He is trustworthy, so trust Him with your cares. Have an overcoming day. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
