For the Lord delights in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.
Dear Ones: He Crowns the Humble! Mr. Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines the verb crown this way: to honor; to dignify; to adorn; to invest with regal dignity and power. The Lord trusts the humble ones with this honor because they will not covet His glory for themselves. In every victory over the darkness, they give Him all the honor and glory. He then in turn crowns them with His victory.
This is wonderful news! He not only delights in us but bestows great honor upon us as we walk humbly with Him. When we submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit, the fruit of humility or meekness is manifested. It is one of the character traits of the Divine Nature of Christ. The synergy of the fruits complement each other amplifying His nature in us. Thus, we go from victory to victory and glory to glory.
Does all of this happen overnight? Spiritual maturity comes as we walk out our relationship with Him day after day. There are suddenlies that happen and then there are incremental increases in our knowledge of His ways. He is the One Who blesses and releases honor to us as we go. He delights to invest His regal dignity and power in us.
You are His precious child. Rejoice for He crowns the humble with His victory. Revelation 3:21 reveals the depth of His commitment to the overcomer. “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.” Receive your crown with a humble heart knowing He paid the ultimate price for your victory over the dark one. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
