Go and Prepare

And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
Luke 22:8

Dear Ones: Go and Prepare! That were the instructions given to Peter and John. The Lord celebrated Passover every year. Passover and the other feasts were established as foreshadows of things to come. However, this was the appointed Passover when the feast would be fulfilled. He was the Sinless Lamb of God and He was sent to rescue mankind from the evil one.

This is the last day of the Jewish celebration of Passover and First Fruits. It is also Resurrection Season for Christians. We celebrate not only our redemption through the Cross, but the ultimate defeat of the rule of darkness in our lives. Our freedom came at a high cost to the Lord, but it was also a total defeat of the evil one. He lost the keys of death and hell and his strangle hold on mankind. Now, there was a way of redemption and a portal opened for reconciliation with God. The Lord’s sinless blood paid the debt of sin for those who accept Him as Lord.

In this hour, we hear the Lord’s command, “Go and Prepare.” “Prepare for what?” you may ask. It is a call to walk in His overcoming authority over all the darkness that has attacked you. Remember, the evil one is a defeated foe. The Lord vanquished him and his minions for us so that we can live an abundant life in Him. Prepare like a warrior prepares for battle. But the difference is that the battle has already been won; we just need to enforce His victory in our lives.

May you hear the Lord’s words, “Go and Prepare,” as a personal call.  Put on the Armor of Light and pick up His Sword against everything that contends with you today. You are a Warrior of the Cross and an overcomer. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
